ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

Choose the Echigohime strawberries you want to take home

Walk through the greenhouse and look for ripe Echigohime strawberries. Before you begin, a crew member will show you how to use the scissors and pick the fruit gently, so first-time visitors are welcome.

After picking, we weigh your strawberries and charge JPY 5 per gram, tax included. Take them home and enjoy them slowly with family and friends.

This is not an all-you-can-eat activity. Please do not eat the strawberries inside the greenhouse. The strawberries you pick are for purchase and take-away.

ECHIGOHIME

A delicate strawberry born in Niigata

Echigohime is a strawberry variety developed in Niigata Prefecture. It is known for its sweetness, gentle acidity, soft texture and rich aroma.

Because the fruit is very soft and delicate, it can be difficult to transport over long distances. Picking it directly at the farm is a special way to experience this local Niigata strawberry.

Choosing the colour, shape and size you like is part of the fun of picking your own strawberries.

Check in

Tell a crew member that you would like to join the strawberry-picking experience.

Receive instructions

A crew member will explain how to use the scissors and pick the strawberries safely.

Pick strawberries

Choose ripe Echigohime strawberries and gently cut them from the plants.

Weigh and pay

We will weigh your strawberries. After payment, take them home to enjoy.

IMPORTANT RULES

Please help us protect the strawberries

Please do not bring bags or other luggage into the greenhouse.
Use the scissors and handle the strawberries gently.
If you drop a strawberry, please pick it up and do not leave it on the planter or floor.
Please do not damage the leaves, stems, plants or greenhouse equipment.
Do not eat the strawberries inside the greenhouse. This is not an all-you-can-eat experience.

BUMBLEBEES

Please do not touch the bumblebees

Bumblebees fly inside the greenhouse to pollinate the strawberry flowers. They are generally calm, but please do not touch, chase, swat or disturb them.

If one comes close to you, stay calm and move away slowly.

Do I need a reservation?

No. Please come directly to the farm during strawberry-picking check-in hours.

Is this an all-you-can-eat experience?

No. The strawberries you pick are sold by weight at JPY 5 per gram, tax included, and are taken home after payment.

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free. You only pay for the strawberries you pick.

Can I always pick strawberries when the farm is open?

Availability depends on the crop. Picking ends when all ripe strawberries available for the day have been picked, and opening days or hours may change.

Can I visit only to buy products?

Yes. No reservation is required to visit the farm shop. Fresh strawberries may be unavailable or sold out depending on the day’s harvest.

Is parking available?

Yes. There are 10 parking spaces in front of the log cabin. Please see the photo directions below.
